Well, if nothing else at least they are consistent! They spelled "Please" wrong every time.

1. Ahhhh...the joys of cut and paste....
Make sure you send that to the real ebay, so they can track these idiots.

4. Even if they were to send these E-mails...
I'm sure (well, pretty sure) they'd use a spell-checker.

5. Geez...Get real, WillBowden.
I think you're in deep trouble.
From the E-Mail, I believe Ebay is not going to let you buy any more Coconuts..... (acconuts are a close relative of coconuts).
Damn, I thought everybody knew that! :)

24. are your mispelled too?
Mine are not from English speaking sources. As a very stupid move, I clicked on one of the links once, typed in GW Bush as the account name and a stream of zeros for the number, now I get all kinds of un wanted stuff in my junk mail folder.

Should have known better.

7. don't under any circumstances click their link or give them information ..
about your account. Every one of those emails that look like they are from ebay asking you to go to their link and update your personal information, is fraudulent.

Click "forward" on OE or whatever email you are using and forward the entire email without changing anything in it to spoof@ebay.com

Ebay will reply to you and confirm that they did not send that.

8. I know they didn't send it...
The spelling is atrocious (at best). I got one last week that pointed to a different website completely.

Edited on Tue Jun-29-04 07:34 AM by WillBowden
The link doesn't work (another spelling error) and I don't know what an acconut is (except maybe the relative of a coconut as RadicalLiberal suggested...)

14. That's where your info would be stored
If you gave it, so a hacker can retrieve it and sell it to an ID thief or Credit card crook.

22. This is called Phishing
Fill this form out and someone will buy a whole shitload of stuff with your credit card.

Have ya ever noticed that when eBay loses your account information, they always lose your credit card number? They never, ever seem to lose your telephone number or your sock size, but damn those credit card numbers are slippery!
