Video Gamers - Are there any particular releases you're looking foward to?
I have to admit, that there's one that I've been waiting for months to come out and it's the main reason I picked up an X-box this April despite already having more Playstation 2 games than I know what to do with.

Fable - An open-ended RPG that allows you to truly determine your characters action (evil/good) through the game from teen years to old age/death and which is supposed to be so detailed that practically anything you do in the game will be stored in memory permanently and affect the world in some way later in the game.

The game is supposed to let you get married and have kids if you so choose. Which leads to an interesting rumor that hasn't been denied by the developers and that's that the game allows for gay marriage if that's the way you wish to run the avatar's life.

Anyway, it sounds from recent articles that the game may live up to the oveall hype and I think at this time it's just a little behind Halo 2 in terms of possible big sellers for the remainder of the year.

4. GTA- San Andreas
Three cities all each the size of Vice City linked by miles of countryside. Casino games and drive-by side missions. Plus your guy can swim, and gain weight if he's lazy. It's going to be huge!

19. Got some bad news for you
Doom III will only be available for the PC and Xbox.

They are not porting it to the playstation because of hardware limitations.

Now, if that lives up to the hype then between GTA-SA and Fable the wife won't even know I exist.

34. Lots of ways.
GT3 graphis really weren't that good. At least not as good as they should have been. Google GT4 for some screen shots and you'll notice the difference right away.

Far more cars, more tracks, more racing modes. Improved physics engine. Should be a great game.

18. Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault.
Also GTA: San Andreas, although I'm a bit annoyed with Rockstar's releasing all their games for PS2 first and only coming out with PC versions six months later.

And Half-Life 2 would be nice, but that's looking more and more like it's either vapourware or the next Daikatana...

30. I was really looking forward to Driver 3, but then I played it
and it's terrible. It tries to be a photo-realistic version of GTA, but it forgets that what makes GTA great is the totally open-ended gameplay that lets you do ANYTHING. Driver 3 is what GTA would be if they took out all of the cool stuff in between missions and the sense of complete freedom.

And what really sucks is that I thought Driver 3 would tide me over until San Andreas comes out, but now October just seems even more distant.

33. Yep, "Total Shit" about sums it up...
And I LOVED Driver 1 on PC. The missions were so-so, but what made that game SOLID GOLD for me was the "freight train" cheat that turned any car into an undamageable engine of mass destruction. I could drive around any of the cities for hours just slamming into cars and watching them go flying down the street. There's an infinite mass cheat you can unlock in Driver 3, but unlocking it requires one to actually play the game, and even then you can only use it in Istanbul.

Somehow Reflections managed to surgically remove everything that was fun in the first game and create this unplayable piece of total shit.
