He was one of the pioneers, Randy followed in his footsteps and did a mighty good job of it, too.

This is the James Dean Syndrome in action!!!

We all never had the chance to watch Randy suck most of his livelihood up his nose or find "The Church" and quit the band. When we met him it was only the second inning. Sadly his career and head was cut short by the blade of a prop from a personal aircraft.

My God Randy was awesome though; I meditate to The Blizzard of Ozz. It's hard to believe that he was only 25. I never saw him play, to my deep regret.

I cannot however discount the contributions of Zakk Wylde, and Godd I never will.
