 Just a quick note to all those who had prayed for me... I weighed in at 273 Got 815 squat after missing it on my second then benched 700 on my second bench, missed third. Going into deadlifts I had no idea how I was gonna end since I was pulling raw and never did that before.. Well funny thing happened,you see all day I was battling the enemy and the atmosphere around me, with all the hate music and satanic attitude I called out to Jesus and rebuked the enemy, then I proceded to pull all 3 attempts to end the day with 4 pr's and a 2200 lb total. My first every 1st place win in a full meet in the 10 yrs I have been lifting full meets and best lifter of the day.. Our God is an Awesome God .. All Honor and Glory goes to him..

 Hey man, I wear a christian T shirt all the time, I listen to christian music all the time,I read the bible all the time too, I do these things cause I Love Jesus and to get me spritually connected so I can lift these weights. Without the Holy Spirit I'm as weak as a Ant.. I am sorry the likes of this offended you.. I think you need to take a good look at the Metal Militia websites and T shirts.. Pentagrams and Goat heads are not just cool things to wear to pretend your a tough dude, they are directly related to Satanism. I dont belive that everyone that claims to be a Militia member really takes this to heart and I do think they are good hearted people, but seriously misslead... For the record you didnt have to hear the loud hate music to feel the presence of evil in that place, being a Christian you just know when your in dark territory... It wasnt long ago that I would be right there wearing there t-shirts and being just as crazy as the rest of them, not caring cause I didnt think that satan really existed.. Huge Lie that just seems to keep on growing... I wanted to show that being christian you could still move some weight and do it by positive influence... Once again sorry if I offended you or anyone else but I will not stop calling on God at meets and reading his word to prepare for a lift, there is no other way for me to be.. 9. Like God has time for this

The thing that bothers me about these sorts of posts is not their faith. If it makes them feel good then I'm all for it. Humans suffer enough in this world and when they find an anchor I say it's a good thing.

The problem is the idea that God is obsessed with us ... that he would bother with powerlifting prayers, prayers for a good hair day, prayers for lottery winnings, that a certain girl will like you, etc.

Right now, all over the world, there are people appealing to God to save their lives, to heal dying loved ones, to save a villiage from destruction, to provide food to starving families. I wouldn't want to distract the Lord from these requests by asking for something so petty.
