My friend just called me from Santa Monica
she saw the huge Pacific Wheel driving down Highway 1 - PCH, Pacific Coast Highway. I'm sad now. Why, oh why, did I move to this God forsaken hole?!!! I thought I was doing the right thing, but there's no jobs, people are on speed, rent is more than double, low paying job with a salary I got back in the 80's, there's no spicy food, ugly clothes in stores, 7 year old kids who curse like sailors...bitch, moan.

But, it's also pretty, peaceful, not much traffic, and I'm trying really, really hard to love it here. But Santa Monica is truly the best on the west.
