what's the deal with Ron Silver?
He's a very good actor, and he used to be a very good liberal. Seems he suffers from Dennis Miller Syndrome. But what's up with that?

Also, when did Stephen Baldwin become a fundamentalist evangelical?

1. DMS
Dennis Miller Syndrome: Characterized by unruly facial hair which appears to compensate for serious character deficits and uncontrollable flights of neocon fancy. It doesn't hurt to be a complete dick, either.

2. dunno about Baldwin
But Silver is one of those unfortunates who drank the Kool Aid out of sheer terror after 9/11.

Why these fools don't realise Bush is the one who didn't stop it is beyond me.

3. I don't think he's a good actor.

He's a one-trick pony - always the same character.

He's still ostensibly a liberal, but like Ed Koch, he is a devoted Zionist driven into trauma-induced paranoia and inability to think by the horror of 9-11.

Actually, except for the zionist part - that pretty much applies to former comedian Dennis Miller, too.

The level of Silver's intellect was evident back in 1993 when he looked at the air force jets at Clinton's inaugural in disgust, but then smiled and said, "Oh wait, those are OUR jets now". The guy is incapable of thinking beyond such superficialities.

11. I agree-it's the Israel thing
Koch and Silver think that Bush is better for the israelis, which I totally disagree with. Israel will never be safe without palestinean cooperation and a commitment from both sides to a peace process that may take years to completely fulfill. Walls can be blown up and destroyed, walls will never give them the security they desire.

The GOP's alliance with the religious right is a threat to Israel. The fundies support Israel 100% because they want to bring on armeggedon so they can be raptured up to be with Jesus (not that He wants to be around the new Pharisees). They also think that God will strike this country if we don't support Israel no matter what atrocities their army may be committing in refugee camps and the Gaza strip.

10. Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
It's a popular theory here to explain WTF is wrong with Bush.
