Who is the biggest jerk in Rock&Roll?
My pic would be Ted Nugent. For obvious reasons. Sexist mysoginistic, racist wingnut of the highest order.

3. Gene Simmons, hands down
Money-grubbing pervert who seems to have no problem pissing on his fans and his band's legacy by entering the 9th year of a farewell tour that got old 8 1/2 years ago. Not to mention the revolving cast of replacement players Kiss has had over the last few years. All you have to do is search the net for his interview on NPR's Fresh Air to see what a dick he really is.

12. While I totally agree that Gene is an ass
and he also wins my vote for rock's biggest asshole, personally, I think Terri Gross led a terrible interview, and he rightly mopped the floor with her. He was interviewed in Salon (I believe) a little while ago, and that shows his true colors much better.

22. 100% agree on Gene Simmons
The man is a monstrous mysoginist.

Did you hear the Fresh Air interview with Triumph the Insult Comic Dog? At one point he says something like: "Gene Simmons warned me about you Terri! The two of us were f*cking a border collie and he sat back and said 'ah Triumph, I can't even f*ck I'm so worked up over that interview'" Brilliant skewering of Simmons by Triumph in that segment.

4. And, I might add, would probably practice cannibalism. . . . .
. . .if he could get away with it. Meat is meat after all. But, my first choice in this VERY SMALL galaxy of assholes, would be gnarly pervert, world class hypocrite, and has been, Alice Goober. Have you seen his revisionist commercial for Office Depot where he denies the line from his song 'School's Out', says "school's out FOREVER"? Like I said INTERGALACTIC ASSHOLE!!!

Is Lars Ulrich Clueless About the Internet?

lars ulrich's death wish: metallica v their fans

Chuck D of Public Enemy Vs. Lars Ulrich of Metallica -OR- Freedom of music Vs. We want more control

One of my favorite quotes from Lars, "It's about trying to put your foot down before this whole Internet thing runs amok, and get people to start a debate about, to get Congress to start setting relative parameters about where technology is going"

19. Jim Morrison was a notorious ass
and for my taste, at least, about as talented as the average bored high school junior scrawling in his journal. His band hated him, he pissed on his fans and his loved ones, which I guess is aesthetically acceptable if you call it bacchanalia (sp?) instead of self-absorption.

And Eminem is a complete creep. I still don't understand why so much legitimacy is granted to this admittedly unread, damn near illiterate, hate-filled, rape-fantasizing wigger.

And I totally agree with the above about Kid Rock, Nuge, and Gene Simmons. Lars nears to get in therapy and stay there.

Flame away.

25. Morrison did have some talent
He had a unique baritone singing voice, unusual in rock music. And when he didn't try make his lyrics into bad poetry, he had a way with lyrics ("L.A.Woman", "People Are Strange").

But he sure was an insufferable jerk.

24. Prince has to rank up there
Such a jerk that he won't even allow his former bandmates from The Revolution inside Paisley Park; when they stop in to say 'hi', he has security guards escort them from the building.

26. Toss Up Between Ted Nugent & Gene Simmons
Edited on Tue Aug-31-04 04:36 PM by Chovexani
Scott Stapp formerly of Creed is an ass as well. Give him a couple of decades and he might just reach their level of assiness.

He's such a prick that when the band broke up, all the other guys made a new band with a new singer. So basically it's the same band, but without him in it. :P

On Edit: Axl Rose is a ginormous tool too.
