OMG I almost forgot, juicy stuff about Shrock! My inlaws know him!
My in-laws live in Virginia Beach, on the same street as Shrock. They've been friends with them for years (my in-laws vote repug and are voting for bush...gag).

Well, my father in law is bi, but in the closet. My mother in law knows and the rest of us "know," but no one is supposed to acknowledge it.

He and Shrock have been good friends for years.

When this came out about Shrock, I said "ZOUNDS!!!"

4. Don't know
haven't talked to them and a bit wary of asking.

It would REMIND everyone of father in law's BI-ness and we don't REMIND people of that.

Ahem.

5. Your guess is as good as mine
I know they were constant raquetball partners for a few years in the late 90s.

6. wow!
I must say however that I feel bad that your FIL is in the closet. Men seem to have a much harder time finding acceptance for bisexuality than women do (not that bisexual women have it all that easy, but you know what I mean)

7. Yeah it's really weird
his family has either "known" or known for many years (his much older stepsisters) and by using "known" those two ways I mean, I don't know if they KNEW for SURE or just "knew" gut feeling knew. I remember hearing humorous references to my father in law's sexuality as far back as when I first met Mr. Moonbeam, 15 years ago.

One of his stepsisters is lesbian. Don't know what that has to do with anything, just throwing it out there.

Anywho, about five or six years ago, he kinda sorta told us without telling us, if that makes any sense. And the shocker of it was it was no shocker. Hindsight is 20/20 and Mr. Moonbeam said it totally fit. He also uses women's screen names on AOL instant messenger.

We think he stays married to his wife (my mother in law) for convenience sake. They put on a pretty good show. But are married in name only and have been for years. I say "bi" because I don't know if he is just totally gay or bi. So I say bi.

It does SEEM sad, but I dunno. He doesn't seem too sad. He keeps an apartment in Maryland (for "work" purposes) and goes up there on the weekends. We thought for years he had a girlfriend, but now it's more likely he's had a boyfriend or boyfriends.

I am SURE my mother in law knows and has known for years. He was career Army, retired as a Lt. Colonel.

8. Why don't you out your closeted repug father-in-law?
He should be just as proud of his sexuality as he is of his support for fascism.
I'm serious

9. Well
because we aren't close to them at ALL, either physically or geographically and that would just completely sever all ties forever. I don't think my husband would like that. And they are the only grandparents my daughter has.

He's not technically closeted, anyway.....most people know, it's just not something he speaks of OPENLY. Know what I mean?
