Perhaps the two most important things I care about deeply are progressive politics and of course STAR WARS. Ever since I saw that the Tantive IV flying through space with that Star Destroyer right behind, I was hooked! So I thought it'd be cool to see which DUers are also Star Wars geeks (haha jk).

Share your thoughts about the movies, books, comics, games, or anything related to that galaxy far far far away!

P.S. Stuff about the upcoming Episode III: Revenge of the Sith would be awesome!

1. SW fan checking in

I used to collect the Star Wars cards, but then Luca$film pulled the license of the game that I was collecting cards for (you know how there are 30 million different Star Wars Card games, right)?

The SW:Customizable Card Game has been out of print for years. However, a couple of weeks ago I found a place that was selling packs for half price; I asked the cashier if it was too good to be true, honestly. I bought about 30 packs.:bounce:

Some of the notables in my collection include the Death Star, Darth Vader (I have his lightsaber, too:)), Luke Skywalker (one of his better personas, as in right before he becomes a full-blown Jedi), Han Solo, Qui-Gon Jinn with lightsaber, etc (I can't remember everything offhand). I've built up a fairly extensive collection over the years.:)

2. why doesn't lucas turn over the next movie..

to someone that doesn't suck?
he should never be allowed back in the directors chair.

3. I sorta agree with ya...

But I have to keep my hopes up for this final installment. Granted, the Phantom Menace was horrible. I don't think I have to explain why. Attack of the Clones was decent enough, but it could have been so much better.

In the end, Lucas should rename the new movie, Episode III: Sorry About the Last Two.

4. What's your favorite Star Wars scene?

For the longest time, my favorite SW movie was Return of the Jedi. I loved the appearance of Ian McDiarmid as the Emperor and the huge space battle over Endor. But lately I saw A New Hope again and I must say that Episode IV edges out ROTJ as my new favorite.

I say the best scenes was when Darth Vader and his stormtroopers stormed aboard the Rebel Blockade Runner. It was just amazing and so terrifying at the same time. Perhaps the greatest scene was when Han Solo was running at a squad of stormtroopers in the Death Star and they were RUNNING AWAY from him. It was hilarious and demonstrated why Han will always be the most kick-ass character in SW.

So I want to know...what is your favorite scene and why? This also includes the prequels as well.

5. Oh man, BEST SW SCENE EVER!

Is when Chewwie, Han, and Leia are on Cloud City on Bespin. Lando says, "I've just made a deal that keep the Empire out of here forever." Han's reaction? A totally kick ass impulse to instantly start blasting at Darth Vader. I love that scene.
