GOPisEvil , I watched the game last night

What the heck happened....is it the team or Dennis? I sure thought they would give Utah a tougher game. They seemed out of position, slow, confused, etc...basically just out played. I don't like to see any Big 12 teams lose non-conference games, of course, unless it's the short-horns. Are the A&M folks surprised?

1. I'm not surprised.

They took about 35 true- and redshirt freshmen to the game. The team is young, and they played an experienced team with a difficult offense to understand as a defense.

This is Fran's last year to suck. The team had better show signs of coming together, and improvement by the end of the season or it won't be pretty.

I was pointing to next year, anyway. Fran will have had 3 years to recruit. I loved RC Slocum as a coach, but he was getting seriously out-recruited so that when Fran got to A&M the cupboards were a little bare.

2. Well, I hope things improve

but, not to the point of beating any Oklahoma teams...lol. I've always thought Fran was a good coach, so it makes sense that the in-experience on the team is what showed up last night. Even though A&M lost, it was still a heck of lot better than watching the repub convention...lol.

Best luck to the Aggies for the coming year...except when playing OU or OSU!!

:7 Sigh...it's sad when you have to reach back that far for a good game.

Anyway, Fran treated his players at Alabama like crap, and he deserves some negative karma from that. But, he knows what he's doing and he's a good coach, so I think he'll turn it around.
