Can't remember if it's from Blondie's First or Second Album. The song is about Pia Zadora.

4. She is one of my idols
I had the pleasure of seeing her live as a kid. She is still a gorgeous woman.

is choosing just one. i voted for "Dreaming" out of the poll choices. When it comes to their more recent stuff, i'm quite partial to "Screaming Skin." i really dig "Slow Motion" and "Angels On The Balcony." Yeah... "Dreaming" is the best choice (if i gotta choose, mind you).

19. Anybody see Debbie Harry in "Hairspray" last week?
It was on IFC. I hadn't seen it in years and it's great fun, especially if you were in high school in the sixties.

20. I saw "Hairspray" theatrically in 1988
Terrific film with an awesome soundtrack! "Bend over, let me see ya shake a tail feather!"

...from their 1999 album No Exit . My second choice would have been all of Parallel Lines , but how can I resist lines like "She walks like she don't care/Walking on imported air," when coupled with a great tune?

"Shayla" Shayla worked in a factory She wasn't history. She's just a number One day she gets her final pay And she goes far away Green trees call to me I am free but life is so cheap Scenery is still outside of me All alone, trapped by its beauty Shayla turned to run away To leave in peace and end her stay Years of fear were in her way Lost in space and down she came Suddenly some subtle entity Some cosmic energy brushed her like shadows Down here we stop to wonder Cars on the freeway. Bright lights and thunder "Call Me" a album cut junkie, if you will. At one time or another I might have picked any of the songs on this list but for me this song stands the test of time.
