Is IMHO much better. Yoshimi is good but the Soft Bulletin is better and the songs stand on their own much more than the conceptually envisioned Yoshimi.
Their pre-Soft Bulletin material was o.k. but largely much more drug addled (at least it seemed that way to me).
The Soft Bulletin is a must, especially if you like Yoshimi.
Their previous one, Transmissions from the Satellite Heart is also quite good although a little less polished and less lush than Yoshimi and the Soft Bulletin. It contains their only hit (She Don't Use Jelly).
Any stuff prior to Transmissions is far more psychedelic and less like Yoshimi. So if you are using that one as your benchmark you should definitely work backwards rather than starting from base.
