about posters with high post counts that suddenly start spouting the freeper line? I do. Like maybe they're "sleeper agents" like in the spy movies - living in the country for years and years, just waiting to be "activated"? Or maybe they've been brainwashed and sent out with a "trigger" command like the Manchurian Candidate. Or like those "human time bombs" in the only great movie Charles Bronson ever did... Telefon?

There's a word for this kind of thinking... paranoia. It's all in my head, right?

I'm noticing that they have started infiltrating en masse. I haven't seen anything like it over the 9 months I've been on DU. (There were about 4 months that I hardly ever posted, thus the relatively low post count.)

The thing I don't get is that there are freepers admitting to being such, and we are welcoming. I was under the impression that this site is FOR US. They can read all they want, but if I went to FR and wrote

"I'm from DU and I just want to have a healthy political discussion," I would start getting death threats. Doesn't seem fair does it?
