I just had my first visit to NYC, ask me anything.
I've never been to the big city but my significant other is from Long Island so we went to visit her dad and spent a couple days exploring Manhattan. I loved it. Found out my digital camera will hold over 100 photos. Walked my butt off. Ate Junior's cheescake and oysters at the Oyster Bar in Grand Central Station. Went to the festival of San Genaro.

I need a nap...

5. It was interesting
Loud, brash, crowded. Not typically my cup of tea. But then again I don't like tea...

11. Didn't eat there.
We had just been to the Oyster Bar in GCS and was down there looking around. Didn't even know the festival was going on until we got to the Puck Building and there it was. Everyone was having fun so at least it's a good thing for the neighborhood. Gives everyone a chance to get out and play.

6. Not once
The city was much cleaner than what I expected. I think they've done a lot to clean it up and improve its image. We didn't even see any rats in the subways. 'Course we didn't make it to the Bowery.

12. Did you get mugged?
It's not an official visit unless you get mugged or at least hit by a pickpocket.

13. No but I got taken for a ride...
in a hansom cab through Central Park. Does that count?

There were a great number of good looking women walking around that made me wish the would hug me.

Oh wait, you said MUG...

Seriously, in two days we only experienced one truly rude man and Ann Marie thinks he may have been touched in the head, if you know what I mean.
