a song parody ask me anything
Edited on Mon Sep-27-04 12:58 PM by nicolemrw
a couple of friends of mine wrote this, and said it was ok to spread it around. hope enough people are familiar with "der fuehrers face" to get it.

DER BUSHES’ FACE
(to the tune of “Der Fuehrer’s Face)
by Bev and Steve Barker

When der Bushes says we is the Christian race
We heil, heil, right in der Bushes face
Not to love der Bushes is a great disgrace
So we heil, heil right in der Bushes’ face.

When Herr Rumsfeld says we own the world & space
We heil, heil, right in Herr Rumsfeld’s face
When Herr Ridges says says they’ll never bomb this place
We heil, heil, right in Herr Ridges face.

Are we not the supermen, pure Republican supermen?
Ja we are the supermen (super duper stupid men!)
Is this rightwing nut so good?
Would you defeat him if you could?
Ja this right wing nut is good
We’d defeat him if we could

We bring the world to order
Heil Bushes’ world to order
Everyone of foreign race
Has to love der Bushes’ face
When we being to the world dis order.

When der Bushes say the taxes we must cut
We heil, heil and take it in the butt
As the Bushes smirks, & lies & rants & raves
We heil, heil, and work right to our graves.

(oh, and just as an aside, this is the first thread i've started, so be gentle with me. ;-) )

1. You should make the title, "A song parody, ask me anything"
Guaranteed to get responses.

4. They did a nice job, but it's tough to do a parody on a parody
particularly when the older song is 60-odd years old. A lot of people here will go for the Republicans-as-Nazis theme, but you'll see a lot of resistance to that in the broader public.

Maybe they ought to do Stairway to Heaven:

There`s a nitwit who`s sure all that glitters is gold
And he`s trying to buy another election...

PS: Yes, you can kick your own thread as much as you want; god knows I do.:)
