Red Sox were the favorites to win the ALCS and they did....they had a better team and it showed in the last 3 1/2 games. All of this is so worth it to get to see how the Sox blow it in the World Series once again....cant wait for another Bill Buckner moment!

Buckner, my ass! Dude, players have made errors in the World Series before. Players have even made errors in a game seven and had their teams lose. But never before in the history of Major League Baseball has a team gone up 3-0 in a championship series, only to proceed to lose 4 straight. It was a collapse of unheard of, epic, historical proportions. A choke for the ages! A record that never be broken and is unlikely to be tied. You've reached new levels of shamefulness that had previous been unreached! And further, your team will NOT be better next year. Your entire team from this year is coming back, a year older I might add, and none of them are tradeable. You've got deadweight Giambi and Ephus-pitch Kevin Brown coming back. You've got "fork in the back" Bernie Williams in center. And best of all... YOU HAVE NO MINOR LEAGUE SYSTEM! You can't even trade for anyone! Dark ages, here you come!!!

First of all, Jeter, Rivera, Sheffiled, Arod, Matsui, Mussina and Gordon are all coming back...those are the guys that got us into the playoffs (and won the first three games of the ALCS).

Steinbrenner can afford to have dead weight on the team plus we can always sign some free agents in the off season to improve our starting pitching and bullpen. The Red Sox are losing almost their entire team in the off season.

10. You feel good about Rivera and Gordon coming back?

I wouldn't! Rivera looks like he's lost his stuff and Gordon, who's had multiple Tommy Johns by the way, is getting pretty old!

But you go on thinking everything's okay, even without a way to acquire a decent lefty starter and reliever or a centerfielder with more range than Frankenstein. It'll be more fun to watch you guys squirm.

15. Rivera and Gordon.....

are awesome...the problem with Gordon was that he so overused in the regular season he had nothing left in the playoffs....Yanks will go and get another hard thrower to compliment Gordon out of the bullpen. Also, Rivera had 2 blown saves vs the Red Sox...but one was not his fault. He entered one of the games with the tying run on third and no outs....the run scored on a sac fly and Rivera held the Sox down after that. Clearly Rivera is stil a great pitcher....he had over 50 saves this season.

By the way, the rumors are that CARLOS BELTRAN is headed to the BRONX next year! hahahaha! I think he is a pretty good centerfielder, agree?

16. Oh yeah, how'd that A-Rod acquisition go?

Offense ain't gonna help you. You need pitching and lots of it. But it's not out there, ESPECIALLY not left handers, which you DESPERATELY need. So you have fun with Beltran. You can also have fun with the 83 wins you'll be lucky to rack up next season.

both pitching and hitting . . . I knew it was over when Jeter reached in that late inning and set the stage for the comeback . . . watching A-Rod up there flailing away at pitches with no hunger in his eyes was embarassing for Yankee fans . . .

this team can't compare to the Yankee teams that actually played hard every day and refused to lose when it counted . . . what we're lacking is players like Paul O'Neill, Scott Brosius, and Tino Martinez . . . we'll never with with the likes of A-Rod and Giambi, because these guys just aren't winners . . . they're overpaid prima donnas . . .
