"Hellboy" or "Saved?"
Thusly do I cast my afternoon movie-viewing fate to the Lounge. Don't steer me wrong, friends.

16. Really?
I heard a sorta-review-discussion of it on NPR a few weeks back. I'd seen the previews in the theater, and thought it looked like a horrible waste of a couple hours, but the people talking about it on the radio said it was really fun - "what movies should be," IIRC. So I figured I'd give it a shot.

Of course, with the rain and the dark here now, it doesn't look like either of 'em will be an "afternoon" movie, but hey - Friday night TV sucks badly enough I might fit 'em both in before bedtime.

10. Saved. I haven't seen either.
I don't like Hellboy type movies but I know people who do and even they said it was stupid.

19. Saved...
I really wanted to like Hellboy, but it felt like half a movie to me... as if the entire thing was a build up for something that never happened.

Saved was good, though after an hour it went from a satire about religious schools and fundamentalism to a plain satire about high school. Still, it was entertaining and well worth the ticket.
