But as a tourist attraction I'm okay with it. The TV coverage is quite watchable, when muted.

Of course we didn't have one this year; next year is likely, but not certain. I prefer the other big 1,000,000+ parties: the carnival of World's cultures (VERY unlike the German carnival) and the Christopher Street Day (as ally, audience, supporter and occasionally campaign helper ).

As a way to get money into the city I'm a great fan of Techno. Nothing against Kraftwerk and other quality music producers, but the stuff played during the parade is not my thing.

And yeah, the Dutch know how to party. Of course the Berlin/Brandenburg region is basically Dutch... (Oranje Heritage)
