When do they stop delivering? I need to lock my gate up at the road for the night but the web site said the package was on the truck this morning for delivery.

2. You might give them a call and get verification over the phone...

...that the guy (or gal) is still on his/her route and when the ETA might be.

4. Check the website again - you'll see if it went back to Base
or is still "out for delivery"

7. Never!
Do what I do. Get a chair near the front window and look out at passerbys like Bo Ridley. Do that all day every day until your package arrives.

13. I thought that sounded wrong...
I need to read that book again. Anyhoo, you know what I mean. Seriously, when I am expecting something from FedEx, I check the online tracking every five minutes or so. It's like an addiction.

12. I had the day off anyways.....
I just hate it that I didn't leave the compound all day. I did get a lot of work done though. It isn't that I am overly excited about the package (battery back-up system for pc) but the fact that I have to work for the next two days (14 hr days) and will miss them- then I have to go to the fed-ex office in town and deal with all the freakin people and traffic.

16. No kitty pics yet, just got my new P.C. up pics to follow!
I thought of naming them Festus and Miss kitty before the vet told me they were both boys......
Now, I have decided on kitty and other kitty. They are twins and I really can't tell them apart anyways.

15. I've seen Fedex dudes deliver in the dark.
No flashlight or anything!

I think they keep going till they're done.

18. If you live in a "safe" place
as in, "no one in their right mind would trek down your driveway to steal something off your porch," (as I do) you can leave a signature on file with FedEx and they will leave package without your signature. Computer companies don't like that and say they will ignore the sig on file, but if you know your UPS/FedEx person and develop a relationship, they will leave package anyway... if it is a safe area.

My driveway is so bad, I leave my truck at the end of it so delivery can be placed in back when Im expecting a package. Otherwise the delivery person has to lug the item down the drive by hand. They won't bring their trucks down my driveway. Don't blame them.
