Beef tenderloin slathered in a pate and mushroom paste and then wrapped in pastry and baked. served with a mushroom wine sauce.

with the election being the most depressing. but i think the upswing has begun. and a vacation to costa rica is right around the corner, so a bit of recharging should help to solidify a more optimistic outlook.

I too have been extremely pessimistic lately because of the election. Actually, I've been a real bitch since Nov 2nd. So I understand where you're coming from. A vacation to Costa Rica!??? Woohooo! Hell yeah! That's definitely reason to be optimistic! Take lots of pictures and post them here when you get back. I love pictures!

There my daughter is with the most annoying of the gifts she got - a fake cat.


There she is in a dress my parents got her. She opened it and insisted she be able to put it on immediately.

31. My daughter got a fake cat last year...

And a fake kitten this year. We have three real ones...Why oh why does she need fake ones? The kitten sounds so real that my female (who has had two litters, but is now fixed) laid down as if to feed, thought about it, smacked said kitten in the head twice, sniffed it's hiney, then decided she didn't need to take any further action.

I met her in a bar. LOL.

Really.

I was actually at a retirement party for a HS teacher and she stopped in with her sisters and cousins after her sister's bridal shower (the one with the cat tat).

It turned out that I went to HS with her cousin. She gave me a flier for an upcoming show for her band, and we took it from there.

My wife's band isn't together anymore but the website is still up and there are a couple of tunes there if your interested http://www.yellowfinmusic.com (i built the site too :))

I'm a female guitarist and singer myself. I prefer local bands and musicians to national ones. Her band sounds good. :thumbsup:

i prefer local bands too. it is such a shame that more good musicians cant make a living making music. in nyc you often dont even get paid to play at a club or a bar. you can make some money in the burbs if you do covers, but original music doesnt pay.

this was my second time making it. just a little soggy on the bottom of the crust. I gotta figure out how to avoid that.
