But what is this crap about the "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim?"

Anaheim is a city. It's completely separate from Los Angeles, which is also a city. They're in different counties for chrissakes.

People outside of California and the Southwest will identify better with the Los Angeles label than with the Anaheim label. The Los Angeles label will probably sell better nationally and give the Angels the air of a true big-market franchise.
