31. Have you considered putting a few pieces on consignment?
A day or weekend trip to your nearest city is in order here. Check out the art consignment shops, ask around for new artist shows, etc.

I'm not talking about a formal showing, those usually come later. Just making some cash for now to keep you fed and in supplies. :)

All the artist I know do this to help keep things moving. It also gets you exposure which is a VERY good thing.

I'm not trying to tell you what to do, just offering advice. :)

the people on DU are all stupid babies who should get their asses kicked by skittles.

maybe she isn't all that interested in you because you keep putting yourself down. Be confident, or at least don't talk about your insecurities...Tell Fluff, "I'm a man and I'm one sexy bitch." She'll never leave you alone after that..

68. I don't know
The only artist that ever "grabbed me" at a gut level was Breugel. the elder. Other than that its been pretty much cherry picking. About 10 years ago I saw a quilt, made up of about 2 inch pieces that was like a waterfall of blues, whites, purples. Started at the left corner, and just flowed down through the whole blanket. Thats what I like. Things that have a pragmatic use, but then just....fly. As I said, I'm a dufus when it comes to art. I don't know anything about "dynamic bla bla bla" I just know when it feels..... harmonious?

70. Interesting choice,
Hickman. I LOVE artists who move the eye and soul with color and especially those quilt artists who meticulously find and use commercial fabric to achieve the affect. In relatively recent years dying one's own fabric has become common place so anyone who has that eye for using commercial fabric has my respect because there's as much to see up close as there is from afar.

I'm not that orderly a person, Hickman.

And, don't call yourself a dufus. Longgrain, appears to have enough training and experience to school us all in the finer points of art appreciation! :)
