America's Future Rocks Today will now feature a decidedly more wholesome lineup of singers, including teen queen Duff, up-and-comer JoJo, Gloria Estefan (news), 3 Doors Down and 2003 American Idol champ Ruben Studdard (news). The two-hour event, held at the D.C. Armory Stadium Complex, will also feature video clips and "guest speakers" (Mom and Dad perhaps?).

In addition to the music acts, former Frasier star Kelsey Grammer (news), comedian Ben Stein and New York Giant football player Jason Sehorn will make appearances at inaugural-related events on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

:eyes:

C'mon people, do you REALLY need to be 'entertained' by this over-hyped crap to be motivated to contribute to the victims one of the worst natural disasters ever?

'Tsunami Aid'.

For Christ's sake. :grr:

You can consider it tasteless, to each its own (even though if you brand it tasteless, without watching it...isn't that similar to people decrying Michael Moore's film without watching it?)...But offensive? What's the offensive part? Some people, whose faces are recognized world wide, take some time to appeal to other people to donate for a good and necessary cause...I trully don't see the big deal. Yes, you are probably the type that doesn't have to be asked to donate...and I applaud you...but there are those, the ones that salivate at Brad Pitt's divorce, that might need that extra kick...

...but there are those, the ones that salivate at Brad Pitt's divorce, that might need that extra kick... That's one of the offensive parts.

Spending two hours watching this supposed 'talent' stumble and mumble their way through misread cue cards, then break for those oh so manufactured, dramatically lit emotional song stylings offends me.
Will Elton have yet ANOTHER version of 'Candle in the Wind' for us to sob to?

Why not just take all the money it takes to produce the damned thing and donate THAT to the cause?
