My electricity came on just now ,14 days later
AHHHH. Clean undies, my own coffee in the morning, heat, Sebastian cattbutt wont be walking around with icicles on his whiskers, I can watch Enterprise tonight. The small things in life, I could almost cry

We were without power for five full days and I thought I was going to lose it! I was Mr. Bigtime Grumpy! Grrrr.

The most I've been out of power was a bit over a week but many of my friends were out 2 weeks for Hurricane Georges. With a storm that size, I'm not surprised at the amount of time it took. But it sure makes you appreciate the little luxuries in life.


it also made me appreciate my grill

Did a Halliburton subsidiary have the contract? (joking - I recall hearing that they had to wait to get the downed trees taken care of before restoring lines in many places)
