I'm one of those people who is never happy with anything I do two months down the line. Purchases, e-mail addresses, writings. None of these things will please me forever. So I change. Or at least I want to change. I've been at DU for one year, and since then I have wanted to change my unneccessarily lengthy username. But after I hit 1000 posts, I was hesitant to do it. After all, I had spent a long, long time working my way up to one thousand. So I remained smiths_fan_21384, in all my unweildy glory.

But DU2 gave me hope. Without the badge of honor that was the post counter, I was free at last to ditch the shackles of my garrolous handle. And so, I will now end the brief life of smiths_fan_21384 and reemerge anew with the simpler name Fenris (named for the terrible wolf that was the result of a rendezvous between the Norse god Loki and a giantess).

Not that anyone would actually care. But I'd like to think I have some friends on DU.
