Remember the ads? WOW!

I wanted those cute things that had crowns and sat at teensy tables and did fun things...

Sea Monkeys broke my heart.

6. Me.
Revolting creatures

After a while I didn't know what to do w/ them, so I tipped the contents of the aquarium into one of those man-made ponds you find on golf courses

13. My kid got some for Christmas a few years ago.
Of course the responsibility of caring for them went to me. They did great for several months then once when I changed their water they all went belly up. Had changed the water before and they were fine but for some reason this time it killed them all.

It was actually pretty sad. I had grown attached to the little guys.

Wow.

I remember some type of stuff you had to add to tapwater before hatching the eggs.

24. Mine lived for about 6 or 7 months
I don't remember having to add anything to the water but it's been a few years and my memory is not what it used to be!

I do remember having to order more SeaMonkey food from the distributor and if there was something needed for the water I probably would've ordered that too to use when the water was changed. Or maybe I forgot and that's why they died (oof!)

I thought the Sea Monkeys were cool, but my kid was kinda disappointed that they didn't have little crowns like in the ads, LOL!

18. I had some when I was five or so. I remember being disappointed
that they were not the happy, grinning things depicted on the packaging. But I got over it, and started to like them. When my mother overheard me calling them by name, she said to my dad: "I guess it's time to get him a dog."

28. Yup. SMs are good, upstanding
white-bread WASPS-not only do they not fornicate, they don't even have genitals.

That is why you have to pour them into the special brew that you add to the water and let sit for 24 hours before adding them.
