Poll question: Which kind of intentional misspelling pisses you off more?
Faux-Urban Misspelling - Using "Z" in place of "S", "Da" instead of "The", and "Dogg" or "Dawg" instead of "Dog".

X-Treme Misspelling - Using "X" is place of "ex", and in "Xtreme" or "Xtra".

Country Misspelling - Using "K" in place of "C", as in "Kountry" or "Korner".

14. Australian baby-talk
With all due respect to any Australian DUers out there I could die happy if I never heard "prolly" for probably or "mossie" for mosquito again.

and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.

15. Unfortunately
I'm afraid almost most misspellings irk me. I was an English major and have a very low tolerance for most spelling shortcuts. It took me forever to use even contractions for the most part!

19. I'm not that bad!
I won't rant, and unless the spelling is truly awful, I don't bother doing anything about it. Everyone to their own. The only time I cringe is when I see misspellings in professional and commercial writing.

25. heh, heh
Naw.....don't worry. I've been online long enough to see almost every possible spelling--and misspelling--ever thought of. Sometimes people are especially creative in their misspellings to the point where you have to laugh.

I've got a small quirk of my own, it seems. I sometimes find, even after a careful readthrough, that I've used a homonym instead of the one I'm looking for--like "their" instead of "they're" or "there." It's sort of writing without thinking, if you know what I mean.

Sometimes, if it's a person who annoys me (usually on a few other boards where I've known people for ages), it gives me great pleasure to tell them they're misspelling something! :)

I hate ads for "back to school" sales
Where the "s" or any letter is intentionally written backwards. What does that teach kids? It isn't cute, so knock if off mass media.
