Tell me to get back to work
I should be writing. I'm 15K words into my novel, and I should be working towards finishing it so I can start shopping it.

But I'm dickin' around in the Lounge. Reading GD threads. Posting LBN. And thinking about making complcated pastries.

Why do I have no writing work ethic?

3. Get back to work!!!
Actually, writing is a process of procrastination. You have to waste just the right amount of time with your project swirling around in your subconscious. Then, all of a sudden, the words and ideas just come bubbling to the surface, like they can't wait any longer to explode onto the screen.

So, sit back and have some fun. You'll write when you're ready and then it will seemingly be effortless.

4. GET BACK TO WORK!!!!
or else :spank:

Seriously, though. Set a timer for 45 minutes, work diligently. And when the timer goes off reward yourself with 15 minutes of DU.
Repeat as needed.

5. Get back to work after you tell me what the novel is about
So what is it about?

Often going over the plot and basis of my book helped spur me on to get writing again.
