I had to talk two people out of quilting tonight.

3. FYI, KNITTERS use yarn, quilters use fabric and thread.

You can't quilt with yarn.

Good copycat, but points off for the yarn error. ;-)

7. True story: national ad campaign for those "quilted softness" paper

towels showed cartoon women sitting around a huge quilted towel clicking knitting needles above it while the voiceover talked about "quilted softness"!

Quilters bombarded them with mail and they revised it, gave the cartoon quilters needles and thread and had their hands make sewing/ quilting motions instead of knitting ones.

You'd think somebody would have looked up how quilting is actually done. . .
