If you were remaking Logan's Run...
would you play up the Soylent Green aspect of the City of Domes?

1. I'd have better FX...
This was before motion control and CGI...the FX were pretty cheesy...
And I'd have Jenny Agutter back as well...

2. The cheesy FX were part of the charm
Consider the New You sequence. As we all know, in the future equipment cabinets will be made from cardboard covered in aluminum foil and will have huge labels next to the huge controls (which you have to push up with both hands because in a society where no one does any work, the only way to keep fit is by operating the controls of machines that have cabinets made from cardboard) and indicator lights made from 60-watt light bulbs screwed into the top of the equipment. It makes it futuristic, you see, because we KNOW that no one in the future will make equipment cabinets out of metal and put normal-size controls and normal-size panel lights on them.

And they definitely won't paint the equipment black.

3. I'd use a better mall.
The original had no Starbucks and only a couple of Gap stores.

4. How could you play it up more than it already is?
I mean... isn't that pretty much a fundamental element of the plot?

5. Oooo I love that movie!
So cheesy! And part of it was filmed at the Ft. Worth water gardens!
