No one's as hot as Galadriel.

Even in the books, Galadriel was always the hottest of all hotties to me. With Eowyn second runner-up.

The casting for the movies was perfect.

11. picture this
You're taking a nice Sunday afternoon nap. Suddenly, she appears as a glowing apparition in your dream, saying, "Rabrrrrr...you must arise and prepare for the coming of my parents...take thee now to Supercuts and get a haircut, and do not tarry...forget not to stop at Safeway for a pint of Dreyer's...and be sure to use the coupon...tomorrow, you will be desirous of relations with me, but it is not destined, for you will do something shameful in front of my parents, so forget it..."

Gimme the wild child Eowyn.

22. ROTFL!!
Can always count on DS1 for just the perfect response.

:-)

You can be damn sure my thoughts would almost constantly be of the type that I'd want her to be saying "okay". But on the other hand, my hope is that she'd be so much into the "okay" range that it would actually fall to me to say no occasionally, to slow us down.

3. I went to junior high with a Galadriel, and to college with an Arwen.
I don't actually remember what either of them looked like.

I really should read it again. It's been a long time.

5. Eowyn is emotionally unstable
She's all over the map - falling for Aragorn, sneaking off the war thhen being afraid, seeming masterful then uncertain.

For my money THE most clumsy character in the movies.

Sure Arwen is sort of goth-mopey girl, but at least she's consistent.

25. I dunno
I'd call Eowyn spunky and normal. And she swings a mean sword.

Eowyn kicks ass the old-fashioned way with no spirit or Elvin advantages. That gives her the edge in my book, she's the most "normal" woman of the bunch. :)

39. I seriously don't find unstable people like her appealing
Edited on Thu Mar-10-05 12:24 AM by mondo joe
Honestly - she needs a mood stabilizer.

Now I'm in love, now I'm not, now I'm scared, now I'm a master swordswoman, now I'm scared again.

She could have been a great character (in the movie anyway), but Jackson had her all over the map. If I knew her I'd keep my distance.

i'm still torn on the other two tho. arwen is of the line of luthien, so that's something: but eowyn is a hardass...

then again, in the movie, arwen is too.

10. Eowyn
Was always my favorite. Something about a sword wielding horse riding hieress I guess :) (Although I was never a Xena fan).

Arwen was a close second for me. Galadriel was a little to ethereal for me.

13. Mmmm... I'm totally into Ethereal and the wisdom of countless eons
Edited on Tue Mar-08-05 09:30 PM by Rabrrrrrr
But Eowyn is very close. I'd be happy with either. I'd even be happy with Arwen.

But I'd rather have G or E.

I also like the wildness and spirit of entrepreneurship of Eowyn. Not to mention her beauty, and her willingness to wield a sword and defend her people, while still remaining fairly feminine.

And Miranda Otto is way better-looking than Liv Tyler, so I'd agree with you on the order there. Reading the books I didn't make any attributions of hotness whatsoever.

I agree with you. Galdriel's the hottest, followed Eowyn and then Arwen. Thought Arwen is still pretty hot, just as much as the other two.
