Anyone else drop acid?

I used to, about 20 years ago, but I got tired of the weird hung over feeling: my jaw would ache because I'd uncontrollably clench my teeth for hours at a time, and I'd always get this tingling feeling in my finger tips. Other than that it was trippy and cool, especially with headphones.

And after all this time it still takes me less than a minute to get the carpet to melt.

1. Used to years ago.

Gave it up. I always felt like my hair was standing on end the next day. It tingled.

Even went on the acid diet. Two hits fri night, 2 sat night every weekend. Lost 25 lbs that summer.

4. During college, about a dozen times

11 good trips, 1 bad one. With the exception of the one bad trip, I really enjoyed it. I certainly don't regret trying it. Some of the artwork I made while tripping was unbelievable, it felt like I lived in my drawings as I drew them.

IMO everyone should try it at least once, and in moderation if you decide to take more. I've known acid heads (people who use it multiple times in a week), and it's not pretty. It seems very safe if you're mentally stable and don't overdo it.

5. Yep, but not too much

College days. Went hard core mabye 10 times - 2 or 3 hits each time. But I could remain social and go to parties taking 1/2 hit. Did that a lot - only cost $1.50 - perfect for the college budget.

I have a hard time letting go of control of my brain so when I tripped I did'nt fall far. Some visuals, giggles and awareness of how surreal life can be. I would'nt eat acid again. But am always willing to expand my conciousness.

7. If you were clenching your teeth you weren't getting clean acid.

You were getting the Strychnine/Ergot combination instead of the clean LSD-25. The strychnine gives you that "speedy" feeling, the jaw clench and the twist in the back of your neck. I stopped tripping about 12 years ago, it just got boring. It's 4 hours of fun and then 10 hours of watching the walls swim waiting for it to go away. Mushrooms are way better, all the "peak" of acid but it's gone in 4 hours, plus it's organic.

I remember we used to trip and listen to Nine Inch Nails or Metallica and eat Sour Patch Kids. Sometimes we'd listen to intentionally wierd stuff like Negativeland just to trip us out. Fun times, those days. My last trip wasn't too great. I don't really remember why but I remember telling myself to remember these words "don't EVER do this again." So I didn't. It's probably been about 12 years now.
