If you haven't, don't.

If you have, I'm sorry.

1. Why???
I've been there before, and one of my best friends has a place on about 12 acres that's just gorgeous.

Yeah, I know about the people (not including my friend) but what else is so bad about Pegram?

2. When I lived in Nashville, my wife and I used to take car trips out to the
surrounding towns, and we liked going to Pegram. Beautiful woods and hills.

However, on one of these trips, we discovered the Gates of Hell. I shan't elaborate further, except to say that the epicenter of evil in this world lives in Pegram.

6. Okay, here goes.....
We were driving along one of the main roads that goes through Pegram on a beautiful late spring day, and I had this habit of telling my wife, "Let's get lost!" when she was driving. That was her cue to take the next possible turn, no matter where it led.

So we turned down this narrow, unpaved road canopied by large trees and buttressed by only a smattering of houses. The road kept getting narrower and narrower, when all of a sudden it just STOPPED and became a small hill with two doors sticking out of it.

We thought this was pretty odd, so I got out of the car to investigate.I thought it might be a public restroom or something (but built into the side of a small hill?). I opened the door on the right, and just then, the sky grew a doomy charcoal color, the wind picked up and started knocking branches around, and booming laughter came echoing through the suddenly chily air. As I wiped the lashing twigs out of my face, I saw smoke billowing out of the door.

That's when I ran back to the car, and we got the HELL out of there (no pun intended) as fast as we could. On the way back, the weather became more pleasant.

I still get a chill thinking about that day.

7. Those weren't the gates to Hell
it was the service entrance to the Pegram Country Ronald McDonald house.

10. I think even Veep Sneery would be wary of this place.
It was truly mephitic. I was in the presence of the Man-Goat, I know it.
