Poll question: Which of these Presidents deserves the title "He of the Good Hair"?
Rather slim pickings, really. I just picked the hair that looked the most interesting.

2. I contemplated including him, but his hair was less than thrilling.
It seems as though we had a period of about 30 years where we elected nothing but presidents who all wore their hair the same way.

7. Franklin Pierce
Edited on Wed Mar-09-05 03:59 PM by last_texas_dem

There's Pierce and his hair; he looks like he's about to pull a gun in that picture, though...

He had some pretty stylin' hair for his time. James K. Polk did, too.

Chester Arthur definitely wins the best facial hair award with those mutton-chops.

10. You're right
That is most definitely the early 1800's variation of the mullet. Maybe I'm thinking of another 'do he had that I thought looked better. Or maybe I've just slipped and revealed my closet admiration for mullets...

14. That's a "Napoleonic" pose
Lincoln and JFK both had pictures taken like that. It's weird.

18. portrait painters generally charge more for painting hands
in the portrait vs portraits without. I think because they are so difficult to do. I just looked up pricing for portrait paintings and adding the hands added close to 1000 dollars to the price ( a base price of 2100 for a half portrait without hands and 3000 for a half figure portrait with hands)

17. Gotta go with Franklin Pierce. His hair was downright --
-- theatrical.

When will a film be made of this guy?
