Does anyone get offended if someone doesn't answer your P.M.s
Nothing personal brought this up mind you, It's just that a few times it's happened that, someone P.M.ed me, and I didn't reply either because I was too busy or it was too late at night, or by the time I got the message the poster's thoughts were no longer relivant...

I usual respond to nearly all my P.M.s at least out of courteousy to acknowledge that I received the message. But if I don't answer them I feel as if I'm snubbing someone...

Or am I just taking this whole thing too seriously...

1. Offended? Generally not.
Disappointed that someone didn't feel like I was worth replying to? Sometimes. But, life happens, and so I get over it. It would probably be different if it were a friend who chose to ignore me....

Sometimes I go days without a message, other times I'll have two or three conversations going on at one, I can't keep up with them all...funny how that is sometimes...

2. No.
They still put erasers on pencils, even in the year 2005, and people just forget some times...

4. Depends.
If we're 5-6 notes into an exchage, and there's nothing left to say, no.

But the first PM? or the first repsonse? Yeah, I feel blown-off.

8. Like I said, I hope I'm not taking this too seriously
I just feel that if someone takes the time out to write me that I at least write them back...tho there have been a couple times I didn't and I felt bad about it...

Oh well...:)

11. Then you should go and order everyone to go find a thread
with zero replies and go answer it...God knows I've done it before (and have had it happen to me)

10. I don't mind.
Often times when I send a PM it's usually a note of encouragement or some such thing. If people don't respond that's ok.

20. Offended? Certainly.
You have never once answered any of my PMs. Which I consider rude, ill-mannered and just downright mean. (The fact I never sent you any is entirely irrelevant.)

Seriously, some PMs demand a response and others don't. I've gotten a few PMs that there is simply no response to, usually along the lines of "I agree with what you said". I suppose Miss Manners would say that I should say "thank you" and I usually do. But usually I think "So you'll agree with me privately but not in public?"

I do try to answer PMs simply because it's good manners. After all, someone took the time to converse with me. "Hi, nice to hear from you", "Thanks!", and "Aw shucks it weren't nothin' " are pretty easy things to type.

So you might be taking it too seriously, but on the other hand there are real people trying to talk to you and if you don't talk back feelings can get hurt, offers of friendship can seem to be rejected, etc.

But I'm still mad at you for not answering any of my PMs.

Khash.

It might be two days before I find out that I have one. By then, someone could be really upset w/ me.

You need to ask Mr. Jabba about that (he never forgave the restraining order).

As to lime kool-aid

does this help?

You'll have to find some vodka-no time here!

mix it yourself-I like mine strong!

28. nope. people usually don't answer mine but I don't send many
plus I dont send them FOR a response unless I ask a question. I get plenty of online "traffic" from non-DU sites that would satisfy that need. that being said, I ALWAYS respond to PMs.

33. If I was asking a question it would up-set me.
If I'm not asking a question - I don't get up-set. I realize everyone is busy so I wouldn't take it personally the first time.

I do answer PMs.
