When you lose your wallet but have changed your name
and have to get replacement ID in the new name, without the benefit of the old ID, and with only a divorce decree in hand...

The DMV is a whole lot more helpful than the Social Security Administration.

Even when you've called the SSA and verified that a divorce decree is sufficient.

Discuss.

2. I was in and out in 15 minutes...
and this was a pretty crowded office, around 11:30 in the morning today.

4. We don't have a DMV, we have a SOS and they are the least helpful
people in the world. I lost my license last year and the rigamaroll they put me through to replace it. Honestly. :hi:

No one is worse than SSA.
They even will tell you wrong over the phone, then you go down there, and tell you they can't do that.

DMV is Valhallah compared to SSA.

on edit: I see that this is exactly what they did to you.
So I guess it confirms, they plan this type of action.
