Does your cat sleep ON your side?
I don't mean "at" your side or "by" your side - I mean ON your side. I tend to sleep on my side, usually the right, sometimes the left. After I moved to this apartment and started sleeping on this air mattress (our good furniture is in Texas), Simba started climbing onto my side and purring away. He starts out with his butt facing me, then turns around and puts his head down and goes to sleep. He stretches from my mid-humerus to my pelvis, and sometimes it feels like he's impinging one of my nerves! He never did this before. I'm sure it's very cute if I could only see it!

1. actually
Patsy Cline Super Kitty will play all cute-like when I first lay down. She'll get in my face and PRETEND to sleep beside me...only to go to the foot of the bed after I've fallen asleep.

Touch me in the morning....
Then just walk away...

She does not need me. When oh when will I learn?

4. Quinn won't, but Althea will on occasion, but only if she knows I'm
awake. If I'm not awake, or she doesn't know I am, she's usually curled up by or on my feet.

5. Evie does from time to time
It's only a ploy to make me turn on my back so she can make biscuits. She's very cute. Caesar sleeps near my feet.

7. I'm only my cat's stepmom, so I'm really going to miss him sleeping on my
side... I wake up in the middle of the night trying to turn over, but I can't because he has tucked himself tightly into my bent knees, over the blanket, making it impossible to turn without disturbing him. Silly me, I actually get out of bed, go to the other side, snuggle up against him the opposite direction and go back to sleep. I love it when he does that. I'm going to miss him.

8. OH MY GOD!!! YES!!!
what is up with that?! i thought my cat was/is nuts! i had no idea other cats did this.

it annoys the shit out of me. i like to sleep THROUGH the night, not be woken up when she jumps aboard and moves around to get comfy. this wakes me up, then i move, then she jumps off, then she jumps back on when i'm settled in. she does this over and over all night long. it really bugs me towards morning, especially.

is the air just that much warmer, a foot off the mattress?! i can think of much warmer places to sleep, like right in front of the woodstove in the armchair........

but it must be a sight, because my dog, a 50 pound aussie shepherd mutt, sleeps with her head on the other pillow. she gets more human with age.......

9. Angel does every night. Its her way of keeping the concubine under control
She's Mr. Pcat's cat from before he married his first wife, let alone me. I'm just here as part of the harem; she's the real wife. So she sleeps on my hip to keep me from taking her place.
