Who's going to be in Journey for the April meet-up?
Okay...Joe Perry.

Anyone else?

1. Huh? What?
Do you mean Steve Perry?

What April meet-up do you speak of? The one I can't go to?

Where's Journey? Is it beyond Hope?

Don't mind me.

3. If they were, I'll bet Joe kicked Steve's ass a lot.
I wonder if they're both related to Matthew Perry.

Maybe their dad is Jim Perry. Remember "Definition"? (Assuming you watched Canadian TV game shows in the 70s.)

Really. Don't mind me.

4. Yes. He was the Man from Glad for a while, too.
Who could resist Definition? Channel 9 in Toronto showed Definition back to back with the Flintstones every day at lunch...and I used to come home for lunch.

Did you know Quincy Jones wrote the Definition theme? The one that's used in the Austin Powers movie?

5. Of course I knew that!
And the Dream Warriors sampled the song for My Definition of a Boombastic Jazz Style. And Ludacris samples it on his newest CD.

I remember seeing Definition and the Flintstones at lunch, too. And check this! I actually submitted a "definition" that they actually *used* on the air! Pretty happenin' for a nerdy 10-year-old!

(Are you sure Jim Perry was one of the men from Glad? Whatever happened to him, anyway?)

6. I think he died.
That was over 25 years ago, you know.

Now, what's this about Luke Perry dogsledding to the South Pole?

8. Oh, right, I forgot about his dye-job.
You know, I think he actually made it as far as hosting some game shows in Los Angeles.

Damn, I'm having too many flashbacks tonight.
