I am really sad tonight

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a rabid Minnesota Twins baseball fan. I just found out the the long time PA announcer passed away this weekend. He was a HUGE part of the live game experience.

1. I'm sorry.

As a Cardinals fan, I can relate. Jack Buck was our play-by-play guy for over half a century, and he died a few years back. I cried more at his memorial than I did at my uncle's, who died about the same time.

So sorry. I know that sometimes its like losing a member of the family, or at least someone whose presence is very important in your life. :)

5. Maybe but I don't forsee it

I remember when we lost our PA announcer, Rex Barney, man that guy was cool. He was once a pitcher with the Dodgers and he had these really cool phrases like "Give that fan a contract" or "Thank youuuuuuuuuuuu", god he was cool, it hasnt been the same since he died and I think that was '97, the last year of Playoff glory.

I just heard that the Twins have dedicated their upcoming season to Bob Casey (Casey is in the Twins HOF - maybe he will make the Baseball HOF - he was THAT good!)

Twins are a class act team, I really like them, they are without a doubt my favorite AL Central team.
