13. Congrats--I won't tell you that NYU is WAY cooler than BU....
Edited on Wed Mar-30-05 03:50 PM by tjdee
:silly:

I hope you get into BU too. It's closer to home for you (I think), and I'm thinking that's a factor.

But NYU is in Manhattan, the center of the universe and the home of top players in every industry, making it an excellent starting point for any career. :D

Couldn't help it, sorry.

That isn't really a factor, though...

22. What the hell is taking BU so long!
I remember this period, how grating on one's nerves!

And I know lots of people tell you what you "should" do...

But damn is NYU cool, the city is unparelleled...just...oh.

You can always visit it though--I hope you're happy with wherever you go. And that you hear from BU soon!

25. You can't work for Epic or Calvin Klein in Boston, that's all I'm sayin'.
I'm sorry to keep harping, I'll stop now. :)

I know there are a billion factors--you'll go to where you were meant to go, and be happy at either place.

It's a better school in a much better city! (And i've lived in both of them long enough to know!) :-)

Anyway, congrats. I remember extremely well getting my acceptance letters to college--one of the best days of my life.

NYU costs more than BU...

I love Boston... been to each city enough to know which fits my pesonality better, ya know? However, I think I'd be happy in either school. :)

24. Ah, yes, a very good reason
Boston is really a fine place, all kidding aside. I was actually born there, and went to college there, so I have a very fond place for it in my heart and I can't imagine too many better places to spend one's youth. And NYU sure is expensive. The same holds for their med school, as I have recently sadly discovered.

Anyway, congrats again, and good luck with BU!

I wanted to go to NYU for film school but as my senior year in HS rolled around I was that typical stupid 17 year old. I missed the January deadline. I probably wouldn't have gotten in anyway.

Again congrats!:woohoo:

39. Spent a semester at UConn in Storrs, CT
Partied way too much, got a 1.6 GPA and had to transfer to Southern Conn. State in New Haven. Got my degree there with a 3.4 GPA. Took mostly communication and writing classes with some video production classes in the mix.

I am now a sports writer but I still have hopes to write screenplays and/or director. It's a tough field. I really needed to go to NYU or UCLA/USC in order to maybe make it.:hi:
