1. He usually drives
Sometimes we take his car, sometimes we take mine but he usually drives. I drive a lot sometimes for work and when I can out with him, I just want to relax, so I make him drive.

Also, if we go to a bar/club, he only has like one or two drinks and I like to get hammered so it's safer if he drives.:hi:

7. I ( a she) do
and for the same reasons. He drives a lot for his job. But, I drink more than he does, so he's the designated.

16. What? Because I want to make her happy?
Seems to me that should be a GOOD thing.

19. You said she's only happy when she's nagging! I find that hard
to believe, btw! I'm sure she never nags, which by your line of thinking means she is never happy - therefore, you deserve to be spanked :spank: :P

But that's okay by me. I have a Corolla and don't enjoy driving all that much.

5. He does
He never gets to Drive the car. He is always driving his junk truck. So he gets the privilege. The car, no matter what it is, is never paid for and always 3 years old or less and he is lucky to put 5000 miles on it. Our last was a PT cruiser, we currently drive a 2004 Dodge Neon. Trading down to lower payments and for gas mileage

11. I do (he)
If she has more than 2 drinks, she feels unsafe. We have a standing rule. If you feel you might be illegal, call home- no questions asked.

13. Depends on whose vehicle it is
If it's mine, I drive. If it's his, he does. If it's a long trip, we take turns no matter which vehicle it is.

Why? Because I like to be in control of my own vehicle and so does he.

15. Depends
She drove my truck today when we went to the garden store. I guess it depends on who initiates the trip out.

21. My husband drives
He got his license right away when he was 16 and drove a lot with his friends for fun. I got my license when I was 23 on the 4th try at the road test. I am a much better driver now. He feels more comfortable driving though. I had to argue with him during the entire drive because he wanted to drive instead on the way home from the hospital after his tonsil surgery.

But he says that it's more like "Driving Miss Daisy"...I'm always making comments (I am a horrible sideseat driver). He also calls me the "naviguesser." :-)

On edit: the reason is because he likes driving much more than I do. On long trips we switch off, though.

23. 50/50
Live on a ranch - passenger has to open gates

I like to drive - he is a horrible side seat driver so sometimes its better to just let him do it. Especially if the drive is boring and I want to read or work on something. For cruising or a road trip - I like to drive.

24. You live on a ranch? Lucky you!
Sounds great! I'm stuck in suburbia, but I consider myself happy and lucky. A ranch sounds so exotic!

25. heh - look in the archives
I probably sound like I hate it - not true, though this place is part of me, but trust me exotic is not the right word!

Ranches and farms are where they invented baling wire and duct tape. Not to mention dirt, manure and personal injury. On the other hand independence, freedom, open space and closeness to nature, life and death are some of the postives.

26. On short trips
my wife usually drives, because (1) she knows the area better than I do and (2) she's a "back-seat driver," which I find aggravating. On long trips, we split the driving 50/50, and she usually sleeps or reads while I drive, so there's not much complaining.

31. I think my husband likes me to drive so he can annoy me
with comments like..."I think I would have gone after that car; now you'll be waiting here till Christmas" and "Why would you want to be in this lane?" and "You know this is a speed trap, if I were you, I wouldn't be going so fast." By the time we get where we're going, he is all relaxed and smiles, and I have smoke coming out of my ears, LOL.

32. It depends. If I feel like it, I'll drive my car. If he feels like it,
we take his. On long driving trips, we share. In our house, we don't navigate, we NAGRAVATE! When we go out for dinner, whoever is drinking doesn't drive. Or whoever has been out more that day and is tired of driving gets to rest while the other person drives. We share and it mostly works...
