Greetings from Misunderestimator and NSMA'S excellent adventure!

I flew in Thursday, we drove up to Tallahassee..drove thru some hectic storms on Friday and made it into Alabama by a little after lunch and met up with Trof and his wife (who gives the best hugs in the world!) MU and I thank them BOTH for the wonderful lunch (and I'm still smacking my lips over the oyster Po' boy.)

We carried on and landed in New Orleans for the night where we watched my friend Michael infuse dirty martini's faster than a track runner drinks gatorade.

We headed to La Fayette for a little more gumbo on the way out of town, tried to hook up with lastliberalintexas in East Texas but didn't quite manage...(sniff)

We made it to San Antonio and settled in to our room..the staff at the hotel recommended a Mexican restaurant which turned out to be one of the best we ever had tried...now I am going to crave La Fogata!

Today we're getting ready to make the long trek to Tucson....

we debated staying in Austin overnight but since YOU were busy and I didn't have the means to reach other DU'ers, we stayed on course and came to SA..La Fogata was amazing! (their mole is one of the best I've ever tasted!)
