*Show of hands* Who here owns or has owned a Ravi Shankar album?

It's his BIRTHDAY!!!!

My buddies and I were helping my brother move one time (one of many) and he was living in a real rat hole type place with some younger kids from our area who had moved to Richmond.

As we took a breath outside (long story) one of my buddies said the famous line (amongst us)

"They've got a f**kin' Ravi Shankar album in there!!!"

It has become an inside joke amongst us.

3. I really didn't mean anything against him
It just that every time I hear that name THAT moment of my Joe Six-Pack buddies disbelief runs through my mind.

He is Nora Jones' father BTW if you didn't know

13. Nope. I did buy one, once....
Back when I was in high school (class of 66). Bought it from Home Entertainment, a high-end electronics store that had hip & obscure LP's.

But my copy was defective & they didn't have another. So I got the Holy Modal Rounders first one, instead. I love world music & respect Ravi as a great artist.

But early exposure to the Holy Modal Rounders made me what I am today....
