Update

My son's surgery went well yesterday, they only had to put one pin in (they thought they might have to put in up to three). I was up all night with him, since he had terrible nausea and vomiting from the anesthesia, but he is now almost himself again, except with crutches.

We buried Tinkie last night by our spruce tree (the tree makes a good "headstone" for her). I am still verklempt about the whole thing, but I know the immediate sadness will be tempered with time, and we plan on getting a new kitten or two in a few months.

One pin instead of three, that's great news. I'm sorry he had trouble with nausea from the anesthesia, at least he's feeling better today.

Kittens are one of the many things in life that are better in pairs. When you feel that the time is right seriously consider two. I bet you'll be glad if you do. :)
