Gay Channels Targeted By American Family Association

Meanwhile, the American Family Association, headed by the Rev. Tim Wildmon, has launched a campaign against two gay-oriented cable channels, Here and LOGO. "I don't think most parents want their children flipping channels on their way to the Cartoon Network and running across a scene of two men kissing in bed on the Logo network," Wildmon said. He urged followers to avoid advertisers who sponsor "this type of offensive, heavy-duty homosexual content."

You know, it's idiots like this that will make it a point for me to watch any gay network that comes to my television station.

:D

You'd think they were talking about accidently seeing hardcore gay porn.

3. My cable box has parental controls ...
Edited on Thu Apr-14-05 01:20 PM by BattyDem
which allow me to block out any channel I don't want to see. I suggest the members of the American Family Association do the same thing. :eyes:

On edit: Notice how they don't bitch about children stumbling across straight sex or explicit violence?

So let's review:
Two men kissing or showing any kind of affection = Bad for children
Two men beating the shit out of each other, blowing things up and/or killing people = No problem

These people really need to get a life and a new set of priorities.

I've seen commercials for a gay channel. But I don't remember the name.

And, all cable boxes and satellites have a lock feature. Use it.

I could lock out any channel that has racy content, although I don't considering I am a deviant pervert and love offensive stuff.

15. They don't want to watch it, but screw that lock feature they fought so
hard for. They don't want anyone watching it, so must start a protest and get it off the air. Uggh, get a life. Aren't there things more important to be worried about, than something you can fix with the stupid lock.

18. You inspired me to send the AFA an e-mail
Subject: About questionable channels

Message: My cable box has parental controls which allow me to block out any channel I don't want my children to see. I suggest the members of your fine organization do the same.

I used a throwaway e-mail account, ça va sans dire.

9. That's the rightwing "Christians" for ya!
That website and it's preacher Wildmon are nothing but a terrorist organization under the guise of a "family oriented moral website". These people are more dangerous to our society than Osama and his gang. They need to keep their noses out of other people's business and lives. Why does it bother them so much that people come from all different walks of life? That's what America is supposed to be all about. They need to leave the country if they can't accept the fact that not everyone agrees with them.

19. Obviously, Wildmon doesn't watch much HBO or Showtime
Or he'd be seeing a lot more of the "offensive, heavy-duty homosexual content".

I didn't think he'd watch the Cartoon Network, either. He might come across a cross-dressing bunny, or a randy french skunk who doesn't stick to his own species.

Haven't these ignorant fuckwads learned how to use a damn remote control? What a bunch of godholes! Are they still pissed that Kirk Cameron and Willie Aames were kicked off the A-List?

They will stop at nothing to restrict our TV viewing choices to 132 channels of Touched By An Angel reruns and rapture/endtimes movies.
