went to my first Houston Bush protest today!
I learned yesterday that He Who Must Not Be Named would be in Houston today for one of those fancy-schmancy $2000/plate fundraiser dinners, so I packed up the kids and hubby and headed out in the heat to protest. It was a nice-sized group--somewhere between 125-150 people, I'd say. I was impressed that most of the group was young people... lots of "kids" in their 20s. In KC, most protest groups I'd witnessed were comprised of about 10-20 older people. (Absolutely nothing against my elders... more of a slam on my generation... I'm just happy to see that that the times are a-changin'!)

One guy kept driving by over and over in his big truck. He'd written all over it "I'm GOP... GOP impeaches Liars... Bush=Clinton=Liar", and, on the back, "I support our troops" and "Investigate Iraq", or something like that. Definitely a guy we should work together with.

It was a great time! I feel all energized!

4. I actually think Karl Rove
Is he who shall not be named. Bush isn't smart enough. He is more like Cornelius Fudge; easily led and always forming opinions based on popularity and manipulated information. Of course, we all know who the deatheaters are.

6. You're the Bomb
There is a large and growing discontent with this President.

The fact that it is vocal and obvious in Houston is proof that this miserable little despot's time is running out.

7. aw shucks, thanks!
Actually, I think what I was _most_ impressed with was that GOP truck that kept driving around. I wonder how many more of him are out there? There's a finite # of Dems and Greens down here... so what we really need to work on (well, besides getting those Greens to help us out and getting EVERYONE to the polls) is getting disgruntled self-described Libertarians and Conservatives to either stay at home or leave the Presidential box blank. This guy obviously was cheering us on... keep driving by over and over, even though the traffic sucked.

10. yeah, it's just nice to see that some realize it!
Heck, most of the braindead masses just drive along, clueless as to what's happening. I hope you're right!

12. I'm GOP... GOP impeaches Liars... Bush=Clinton=Liar",
That is actually a great slogan for all those who naively swallowed the GOP line for so long. So many of the red states have large rural populations who tend to trust macho white men. I HATE that our soldiers are getting such a raw deal, but many of them are from rural parts of the red states. Maybe their families and loved ones will spread the word that Bush lies.
