TSA-Seized Purple Sombrero is up to $67...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13741&item=3971811208&rd=1

And this might be the best ebay question ever:

Q: Was this taken away because it is ugly as sin? If so... Since when are people not allowed to wear a sombrero on a plane
Apr-30-05

A: I have no idea how the sombrero ended up in the NTSA property. I would suggest contacting NTSA for their regulations regarding permissable carry on items. Thank you for choosing the Pennsylvania State Surplus Property Program. Mary Beth Enggren, Bureau of Supplies and Surplus Operations

4. It's amazing to think that they were all confiscated from air passengers.
Like, what do people think they can take on planes? Scissors? Carving knives? I saw an article on LAX's confiscated items, including several machetes, a 6' trident, and a medieval mace.

You Americans are just plain kooky.

Man the way people looked at me when I tried to bring a samuri sword I purchased at the rennaisance festival onboard.

At least I didn't bring a mace. That guy must have been a real dumbass. :silly:

7. It was in a box in the NTSB lost and found:
A mace, a bunch of machetes, throwing stars, a few hand-axes, carving knives, etc.

Everything but a picklehalber. I'm going to try that one day.
