What is the worst major motion picture ever made?
No "B" or "C" schlocky lousy-halfway-on-purpose ones. I mean major releases that were unintentionally awful.

http://www.dailyhowler.com/dh112904.shtml
He said this: "Heaven’s Gate is one of the “leftiest” of Hollywood movies, a steely-eyed look at a war on the poor conducted by the leering rich."

Then again, he is a huge fan of "In America" which I did not really care for.

Especially because it made me so mad. Especially because what's-her-name was SO WEAK! Such an unforgiving and unworthy little milquetoast. But I saw it again on a late Sunday afternoon, and the thing is, I love Robert Deniro. I think that movie just grew on me.

the worst movie I've seen recently, and by that I mean Monday night, was Sideways. I'm sorry, it was way too long, way too depressing, and aside from some *almost* brilliant scenes featuring Paul Giamatti, the only thing charming about the film was Sandra Oh. OK, end rant, flame away, I'm ready!

Yaaaaaaay! I never saw any of these, except for the 1/3 or so of the list that made their way to MST3K. (Pooooooma Man!) "From Justin To Kelly" seems to be the bottom banana under your criteria.

Of movies I've actually seen, I'd have to go with the ones that actually put me to sleep: "Days of Heaven" (which to be fair, I saw in France and in French, and my French was and is a little iffy) and "Yanks" (which managed to knock my then girlfriend and I out even though we were sitting in the back and making out).

Normally, I like historical epics, but the ex-model that starred as Joan was terrible in the role (Milla Jovovich?) and two of the battle scenes were basically the same loop of film repeated over... (at least Braveheart had varied battle scenes)

Probably not the worst ever, but it comes to mind.

I think there was a big fear of viruses in the news that year (the "flesh eating virus" may have been around then too) and Hollywood decided to cash in on ebola fears.

I usually like Sci-Fi but i sat through 90 minutes of Event Horizon waiting for the point and IT NEVER FUCKING CAME!!! Horrible movie.

Same with "The Ring" Some people liked it but DAMN! WHERE WAS THE POINT?????? I like a decent horror movie too and can go for anything supernatural as long as it is explained. They never explained anything in The Ring. What the hell was with that wet chick crawling out of the TV at the end? I know she was supposed to be the one in the well but HOW DID SHE GET IN THE TV?!?!?!?! Went to see it in the theatre and i will regret the lost two hours for the rest of my life.

Now they have a sequel. I'll pass.

It had a lot of stars in it (Lily Thomlin, Dustin Hoffman, Mark Whalburg, Jude Law, Naomi Watts, etc) I just didn't get it. It went way over my head.:eyes:
Also Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Not what I thought it would be. Good acting though!

73. Chicago
I saw the musical in New York and it was outstanding.

The movie was terrible. Flat and uninteresting. I was shocked.

82. O fantasma!

:puke: the man on the poster looks fantastic, but that's the only redeemable part of the production.
