My dog had acupuncture yesterday...
My dog Cody had his first acupuncture session yesterday. He has arthritis (in his back) and has been a little lame, lately. So, yesterday I took him for his first session.

It was cool to watch. The vet came in and spent some time petting Cody and talking to him. As she was talking to him, she gently slipped the acupuncture needles into various points on his body. The only time he seemed to feel it was when she stuck one in his back where most of his problems are. She said that was a good sign in that she found a point causing pain.

Anyhow, she left the room and I sat there with Cody for about twenty minutes. He had been really nervous and shaking a little when we got there, but I was able to watch him gradually relax. When we left, he was so mellow and relaxed.

Has anyone here had acupuncture? Can you describe what it feels like??

1. My dog Onyx has problems with his knees. I'm considering treatment
for him as well. I heard it works wonders. I've seen segments of the treatment on Animal Planet.

2. I will keep you all posted on how it works. Surprisingly, it was not
expensive at all.

3. Yes, In Fact I'm Under Treatment Now. Different Dr's Have Different Styles
ususally you don't even feel needles except for a slight 'charge' when they give it a wee twirl.

There is another method where the needles are inserted and twirled much more energetically and that is quite unpleasant.
