As some of you know, For the first time in long time, I'm dating. It's been nice so far--as long as I don't try to analyze stuff too much.

Anyway, Jay (my new beau) and I were talking over the weekend, and I mentioned that I was having a good time--that I was trying to take it day by day and not to analyze too much, and that I'm a little scared about the whole thing (I guess that's part of what makes it exciting).

Anyway, when I said I was scared, he said, "You think I'm not?"

I had to give him a big hug at that moment. There's nothing sweeter than seeing someone let down their guard long enough to show a little vulnerability.

(cute little side story: we were watching a movie at my house this weekend, when I got up to get myself a cold drink. As I walked into the kitchen, I asked him, "Is there anything in here you need?" I was thinking, "wouldn't it be sweet if he said 'just you'"? And he did. He said, "Just for you to come back." Imagine that. GMTA, I guess.)
